FUNDRAISING FOR HAJMT

HAJMT will be fundraising to raise money which can be distributed to selected suitable locations through the supply of AEDs.

The fundraising process has started successfully and we hope to continue this process through;

Fund raising events – some ideas:

Ask for donations for the trust in lieu of a birthday gift
Sponsored run or cycle ride
Quizz and Bingo Night
Bake a Cake – coffee morning
Nominate the Charity of the week / annual charity of the week for your company
Clothes fair second hand
Amazon smile
Bridge competition – pay to play.
Donations from individuals/companies/organisations

Local insurer helps fund lifesaving defibrillators for communities across the region
NFU Mutual Agents and their staff at the Wrexham agency recently nominated local charity The Henry Angell-James Memorial Trust (HAJMT), to receive a donation of more than £6,300 from NFU Mutual’s national £1.92million ‘Agency Giving Fund’.

And here is another HAJMT donation. The successful applicants are Meole Village Community Group and Sally is seen with Caroline Higgins, from the Group and Julie Morgan, proprietor of Meole Village Stores, where the AED is located.

Bernie Bentick, Meole Ward Councillor is photographed with Caroline and they are active members of the Community Group.

Meole Matters has just been launched which is a community publication created by and for all the residents of Meole Brace. It aims to bring together important local information, issues and thoughts, along with new social connections, friendship and support.

The Group arranges activities for the village such as Garden Trails, a classic car show and tea parties. They also fund raise for trees and benches in the community.

Stirling work by all and worthy applicants.

A huge thank you to the team at Lapley Wood Farm for supporting the HAJMT.

Part of the Staffordshire Way, which spans the length of the County runs through the farm buildings. The team wanted to not only ensue their employees would have the best possible chance of survival in case of cardiac arrest
but also to provide life saving equipment to the many people who pass through walking along the Way.

We have part funded another AED seen here at Rotar

We have part funded another AED seen here at Rotary House on Russells Hall Estate in Dudley together with CHADD.

Rotary House is a sheltered housing property and is situated on a busy road in the middle of the estate serving a large and varied proportion of the community.

This was a team effort lead by Debbie Parkes from Friends of Russell Hall, supported by Debra Warren and David Johnson from CHADD.

Westhope Village Hall is our latest award and here

Westhope Village Hall is our latest award and here is the management committee led by the wonderful Betty with Sally.

Westhope is tucked away in a valley near to Craven Arms. The committee put their heart and soul into keeping the Hall running. Amongst the diary of events is a highly competitive skittles league, which brings together people from 8 different villages.

Westhope Village Hall will be 100 years old next year and the HAJMT was delighted to support them in their continued endeavors. Bravo Westhope Village Hall.
