A passion for the their community & a strong belief in basic life support led to Chetwynd Park receiving an HAJMT AED.

The HAJMT trustees were delighted to donate an AED to the residents of Chetwynd Park. The application came from Julie and Phil Rich, who are passionate about their community and making a difference.

When she was a Brownie Julie loved first aid and was in awe of Florence Nightingale. She met Phil when they were both police officers. Eventually she re-trained as a nurse and for over 25 years has trained people in basic life support and CPR for Heart Start, part of the British Heart Foundation. To quote Julie ‘Everyone should have the chance to know about CPR’ .
